Job satisfaction is the result of various attitudes the employee hold toward his job, toward related factors and towards life in general. We find that with high desires for higher order need, satisfaction tends to work harder and are more satisfied. The amount of satisfaction that a person derives from his job depends upon the function of two factors: how much his needs are fulfilled and how much remains unfulfilled.
