George Orwell

George Orwell

George Orwell was a realist and he presented a realistic picture of the inter-war period in his novels. He was a crusader against Stalin-ism, fascism and was a defender of democracy and socialism, a defender of secularism as opposed to religion. He was a secular saint, a sanctimonious person. His novels are closest to the truth. Orwell had been a potential force in shaping the minds of the 1950 movement novelists. His influence is seminal. Not only this but writers in the present to me also are influenced by Orwell.
